This one began over a decade ago. Emily + Kyle are some of my closest friends from high school. They are actually high school sweethearts like (just like my husband and I). From those teenage days of homecomings and football games to now raising little ones of our own.. To see each other again, not just as couples, but as families… it’s a full-circle kind of moment that hits you right in the heart.
They made the trip from Minnesota for this session—something that means more to me than words can really say. We didn’t plan poses. We didn’t need perfection. We let the evening take us.

The boys ran barefoot in the grass. We twirled, tossed, and lifted them high into the air. We played with Polaroids and dandelions. We let belly laughs echo under blooming trees. No strict direction, no expectations—just presence, joy, and the little magic that happens when you give love space to breathe.
This is why I believe storytelling is an art. When you let it unfold naturally, it gives you the truest version of your people. You don’t just see smiles; you feel connection. And someday, when these photos are looked at again with older hands and wiser hearts, they’ll remember exactly how it all felt.
Thank you for trusting me with this. For letting your love and chaos and realness fill every frame. Your story is a beautiful one and I’m so thankful to watch it unfold while documenting it for the rest of time.
