Some weddings just feel like cinema. Like a dream unfolding scene by scene. And this one? The bride kept calling it a fever dream and I don’t think there’s a better way to describe it.
These two live in Brooklyn, but chose to come back to the Midwest to celebrate with the people who know them best. The Standard in Rockford, Illinois offered the perfect balance of old-world elegance and modern charm. And from the moment they stepped into the space, it was clear this wasn’t going to be just a wedding, it was a full-on experience!

Surrounded by so much love it was almost tangible, the couple floated through the day in that just-married daze in equal parts surreal and grounded in joy. Their energy was effortless and magnetic, giving space for formal, editorial-style portraits and those fleeting, raw in-between moments I live to capture.

From the rooftop golden hour glow to the dance floor chaos later that night, everything about this wedding was a reflection of their style: classy and timeless, but deeply human. A little bit polished, a little bit poetic.

Here’s a peek into their day: Cinematic. Heartfelt. And everything a wedding should be.
